After weeks of trying to get the Covid shot I lucked out last night and got in at a Walgreens (last minute cancellation and I jumped on it). It is a bit of relief (still got to get a second shot) that my side effects have been minimal. Just a sore arm and a bit of a headache, and tiredness. Anyone else have good or bad experience? FYI I got the Pzizer. We have had a number of cases at work and a couple people have ended up in the hospital with it, so I have been very uptight and anxious as it has been so hard to find a local appointment.

I got my first Pfizer shot yesterday, too.
Other than a sore arm and feeling dehydrated, everything is good. The arm was sorer than I expected and I woke myself up several times last night when I moved around. I’m hoping the second shot goes about the same, but I’m expecting it to be a little more severe from everything I’ve heard.

I got the first shot Moderna about two weeks ago and yeah no symptoms but my arm hurt like heck for a couple of days. I hear the second shot is a doozie.

Got my second Pfizer shot three weeks ago. Only had soreness in my left arm for a couple days after each of the shots I got. My mother is 97 and got both of her shots before I did. I asked if she had any side affects and she said no, but that she developed quite an apatite.

Dam has really broken around here. We went from impossible to get a shot (3000 person waiting list) to pretty easy to get the J&J or Moderna. I got Moderna #1 three weeks ago, only side effects were a sore arm for a couple of days and a bit of fatigue. Get #2 next Thursday. Folks I know gave mixed reviews on #2. I know four that had zero side effects and three that were pretty sickly for a day or two. One of the three was in bed two days with pretty much flu symptoms. I'll post how the wife and I do if I remember. I've got to lead a special trail ride the Saturday after my shot. Sure hope I don't get too sick from it.

I have learned that the J&J shot is a one off and is more like the vaccines we grew up with and not this new RNA shot. I'll likely get that when the time comes.

My wife and I both had our 2nd shot 3 weeks ago, Pfizer for her, Moderna for me. She had no side effects either time, I had about 12 to 18 hours of the blahs!!. My arm was sore for a couple days after both shots but not enough to slow me down. I think sometimes arm soreness is a measure of the skill of the person administering the shot. I had the over 65 flu vaccine back in early Sept and barely felt it going in and no soreness afterwards.
Both Pfizer and Moderna have a slightly higher efficacy than Johnson and Johnson. There seems to be a few more side effects with the Johnson and Johnson.

Super sore this AM, but I did WAY over do it yesterday! No other issues so I'm cool with that. I cleaned out my 12 Lb barrel this AM and that's all the arm is going to do as it is getting difficult to move! I was going to cab a bunch but I think it is better to just rest it.

I'll likely get that when the time comes. And when might that be? . . . Cause you gotta be old enough to qualify in any of the lower forty-eight. : )

Shot authorized for everyone 18 and older in Texas, 16 and older for the Pfizer I believe. Very short waits now too, seems like a week or so max. Mostly J&J or Moderna though.

I will say that the wifi signal improved greatly but the 5G is still iffy at best lol (sorry if anyone is hurt by this!). I did the research (both good and bad)and weighed the risks. After loosing several relatives to the virus, and having some co-workers ending up in the hospital, not to mention the long term health concerns that come with this virus, I elected to roll the dice. Everyone needs to do what is right for them, but please please please do your research, and be sure you are basing skepticism on scientific fact, and not some nut job in their basement with an internet connection.

Where we got the first Moderna shot they gave us a little flyer with our vaccination card. After reading the flyer it became very clear that all of us getting these new shots are basically just a large experimental test group. Due to the emergency, initial testing was really sped up and we really know nothing about possible long term effects. We are both scientists so believe in vaccination and we are both fairly old so "long term" side effects not so much of an issue *L*. However having the chance to live a more regular life is an attractive reward for taking our chances so what the heck.

I am not against vaccines either, but this is not a vaccine. Basically it is a flu shot. No one is even sure how long any protection from it will last.
And then there's this The Detroit News. It appears people are getting Covid even after they are suppose to be fully "vaccinated". 3 of them have died.
My sister's neighbor had the shot and was really sick from it. Her husband said she started not making any sense when she was talking. He took her to the ER. All her organs were shutting down. They opened her stomach up and it was full of blood clots. 3 surgeries later she is doing better and is expected to survive. They will be sending her to rehab when she gets out of the hospital. Can't remember if it was the Pfizer or Moderna that she got.
This morning there is a report the the J&J shot is causing blood clots.
Yeah, thanks, but no thanks until there is substantial information about the real effects of what it does and does not do to your body.
