I have finally joined after a year of ghosting you all. I started tumbling last year but have been collecting rocks and fossils for decades. I have a home built rotary 12 pounder and an mt 10 vibratory. I live in E Ky so i dont get a as much of a variety of types of stone but i have found a number of very interesting one.
My big question for the board is had anyone done a tune up kit installation on a mini sonic? I have not been able to find information or instruction any where on the web or this forum. Please let me know if i am just overlooking it. My MT 10 was a ebay purchase and the rubber is rotting out. I have the kit but want to make sure all of the steps before taking my machine apart.

i contacted them today and the repair tech was out. They also dont seem to have a repair manual or instructions for the tune up kit because the person i talked to said they would email me one if they had it. that saw 6 hours ago.

For those who have diamond pacific style tumbler here is what i got from them. I finally talked with a tech yesterday and they said that you would need to drill out the pop rivets for the plastic housing to get to the isolator bushings under the back of the barrel. He also said that the tune up kit was mostly for reducing the noise that the tumbler made. Which is a let down because i was able to do one side and i cant get the speed of the tumble up to the side with the old parts. Though the tech said that they tune for 1 revolution every 4 seconds. I did mention that there is no resources (videos or manuals) online for doing the repair and the tech said that was something he should take care of. One last thing is i got a part number for the coil driver. Thats the welded on piece that the vibrations come from. It is not listed anywhere in the catalog or online so i figure would be good to share. part number 490-401796. Hope this helps a few people out there.
