Hello everyone!
I'm brand new to the rock tumbling hobby! I've always been fascinated by pretty rocks and minerals, and I have just finally purchased a 3lb rotary tumbler of my own. It's nice to finally indulge myself after a lifetime of interest. As with most hobbies, it looks like this one threatens time & budget with possibilities to grow deep and wide. I'm looking forward to becoming adept at tumbling and possibly moving into some jewelry and metalworking. I'm eager and curious to learn more!
BTW- If anyone knows where to hunt for anything besides fossils in the Cincinnati OH area, please drop a tip!

Welcome from Northern Arizona!
There are lots of posts in the archives about Nether's Farm and Flint Ridge.

Hey Derek! Welcome to the forum from South Dakota! I've never hounded the area, but if you want some AMAZING material, then I'd second Robin's ( hummingbirdstones) recommendation of Nether's Farm. I'm enamored with that material!!

Welcome! And yes, I would agree that it threatens my wallet and my time. And my space (e.g. garage, now a shed, backyard, etc.).
