I see a face in your turquoise. He looks very pleased with his pretty home. He looks dreamy! Happy with his new home! 😊😊😊

I love your asymmetrical take on this! I haven't worked a lot of turquoise myself. I do have some, but it kinda intimidates me. Asymmetry is so hard for me to do, but this cab screamed asymmetry, so that’s where I went. This is only the second piece I’ve ever cut, the first was a gorgeous Morenci that I was also intimidated to cut!

What is the metal that is visible, I would guess pyrite but there is some Colorado turquoise with gold. c It’s actually all matrix, al least as far as I can tell. The darker inclusions might be metallic in nature, but they don’t scream pyrite to me. I’m not sure if Cripple Creek is known to have pyrite in it like some of the others, I’ll have to see if I can find that out.

Funny thing about turquoise...it doesn't have the wow factor when cutting it. I mean nothing new or surprising unfolds while you are cutting it. What you start with....is what you finish with. The reward is that people like to wear it and that is the biggest compliment!
