One of my CT Scans ,after I was knocked out by a tree. I think it is cool to see the teeth and other bones, but somewhere there is a skull fracture and brain bleed. The concussion has now healed. I have one more CT Scan on Monday to confirm things are OK. In the mean time, I had some fun with this.

greigFirst of all, the T-scan confirms that you do, indeed, have a brain in that noggin of yours. Second, you won't need to have x-rays next time you go to the dentist. Lastly, please stop molesting the trees! I'm sure there's bound to be some Canadian tree hugger that would take exception to it. In the last few years, my elderly father has fallen more than a few times. Of course, my dad just hates to go in and get scanned, but they've found subdural hematomas everytime. The last time they peeped into his brain, they found a mostly healed bleed that he hadn't gone in for. It had happened five or six months previous to the one he had gone in for. Glad your concussion has healed now, but you must quit doing the crazy stuff! You are no longer a spring chicken, and healing takes longer and longer the older you get. Take care now, ya hear?

Very cool. I always wondered what having rocks in your head looked like.

Science and technology are amazing. As is the human body.
You are one lucky man to have survived that injury considering the circumstances. I’m happy to hear you are recovering well!

I'm glad to see you made a realistic video if the inner-workings of a true rockhounds brain! (Glad to hear it sounds like you're healing up well. )

I know some rockhounds with that same image stuck in their head, strangest thing is for these guys the images seem to be brought on by looking at chert. Joking aside, I’m glad you are healing up. Totally separate topic, but I’m curious if you do any digs in Maine? I have never been to Maine, but have been within a few feet of the border on the Quebec side. The creeks there have some placer gold and I found one platinum nugget while sniping bedrock crevices. Back then I was only interested in precious metals and wonder what rocks and gems I overlooked?
