Just a heads up to anyone here. Had a thunderstorm last night and the power browned out and flickered a few times. Luckily I had to get something from the garage where I tumble and the 33B was humming and not rolling. Unplugged it and took barrels off. Plugged back in and added load. All is good. If I recall, a locked up motor pulls 6X operating current. An easy way to burn up the windings. So tumblers beware.

You should find that when you stop the drive roller from turning , the belt stops too but the motor keeps spinning against the belt. Making it an easy way to burn up the belt.

I have my tumbler hooked up to a surge/brown out protector strip. If there is a fluctuation in electric currant, the power strip turns off. The tumbler stops operating. This works for me, as I am rarely gone from home for more than 9 hours. The power strip has only turned off twice in 5 years. I was home each time.

Edit: Just checked and motor not turning when startup with a load. Belt seems loose as in deflection so I don't think it is too tight.

Will look for one on fleabay...

Another failure mode I have on my 3A tumbler is that The barrel gets slick and will not spin even when the drive roller is turning.
This requires you to use some sandpaper and rough-up the barrel and drive roller so they can Get A Grip. Plus check the Passive roller for the ability to spin.

Can you tell me more about your power strip and where you got yours? Thanks.
