I posted this in the general rock forum, but I think I should have posted it here. I took some rocks from my friend’s bag of marble garden stones she bought for gardening. The bag says it is marble. I have no reason to believe it is not marble. There is a man on TikTok (I post tumbling videos) who is telling me it is not marble. I think he probably believes it is snowy quartz. It IS marble, right?! If a person buys a bag or marble, they can expect it to actually be marble? Here is the video in question: vm.tiktok.com/ZMdn4KUk9/Thank you!

Quick test hit it with a little acid and marble will react, Quartz will not. Take a pocket knife or nail and try to scratch it marble will scratch, quartz will not. I use bags of that stuff for mineral grab bags and one time got a bag of crushed quartzite "that was labeled "white landscape rock"
