I found wheels that fit my grinder but the arbor is 1 inch and my grinder is 1/2 arbor. Can this be converted somehow or do I need to continue shopping? Thanks!

perkins17They make plastic bushings to adapt different sized wheels and arbors. Here's some that I got with a used Lortone arbor a long time ago. They range in size from 1/2" - 5/8" - 3/4", I think I probably have a 1" around somewhere. You should check with some lapidary supply dealers. Try searching for "Grinding wheel Arbor adapter" You may also find a set at your local hardware or auto parts store.

Usually new wheels come with these bushes.

perkins17 you should check with the person selling the wheels, many have adaptors for those who request them, often at no charge or a low price.

I will bet a lot of members have tons of these just sitting in drawers. Many rock people are members of the never throw anything out club. I will have to check at our club shop we just replaced a set of wheels.
