Hi, I finished tumbling this rock and am curious if anyone might be able to identify it? It's really quite beautiful. There's white and black chunks with what looks like gold cracks throughout. The cracks are under the surface though because you can't feel them or anything. It's oblong shaped, and has a good weight to it. If this picture isn't adequate I can go back and take a better one.

kaila, it kind of looks like quartz to me. Where did you find it?

kaila , it kind of looks like quartz to me. Where did you find it? My driveway. I live on A LOT of property (over 300 acres) and so our driveway is quite long. Here is a picture of it during one of the stages of tumbling (one of the earlier ones, I believe):

Nice! I bet there are lots of opportunities to Rockhound I think you're probably right! I will say I don't venture very far from my house. We do live in an area where there aren't really any predators to humans so I'd be safe in that regard buttttt I haaaaate bugs. Bugs, ticks, etc. all keep me pretty close to our house. Maybe one day I'll venture a bit further out!
