Nice batch of crystals Greig! I know you said your back was hurting and cut the excursion shorter than you wanted, but I'm so glad to see that you're able to get out there already! And Shelby looks huge...I wouldn't have guessed she was that big yet!

Awesome video! You need some chop sticks to save your finger tips!

Awesome video! You need some chop sticks to save your finger tips! I tried using a stick and Shelby kept taking it from me. At that age, she thinks everything is a toy. She plays and romps around with seemingly endless energy and then plops down for a snooze and second wind. Funny dog.

And Shelby looks huge...I wouldn't have guessed she was that big yet! Shelby is only 4 months old and I notice she is larger every morning. It sure was nice to get out and explore again. The dogs loved it and it was nice to hit a new spot with decent crystals. I am still cleaning some that I brought home and will have to think about what to do with the broken pieces. For sure, I will try tumbling some. I am also thinking it might be interesting to try cabbing some of the really clear ones.

Boy, they practically jump into your hand! Nice little honey hole ya got. Some are crystal clear without internal fracture. I am wondering what i might be able to do with some larger pieces on a flat lap?

I'm thinking she'll get to be "Clifford" size! LOL It was fun to hear the excitement in your voice as you were finding more and more crystals. I'll be waiting to see your cabs out of some of those!

There are some great ones. What a beautiful place to find crystals. It was a nice spot. No big holes for Shelby to fall into. Easy ground to walk for me. Crystals that are easy to dig. Doesn't get much better than that. ;-)

Arg!!!! Poison Ivy roots! I made that mistake one time when digging a vein of poppy jasper. Nurse took me around displaying me to other nurses as they'd never seen an arm as badly affected by poison oak as as mine was. Really had a bad reaction to the juice from those roots. Cool video though.

I was away for only 4 days and can see Shelby has grown more. She couldn't go with me because it could be a bit dangerous for a pup. It was a nice break for Daisy, who will now sleep for a few days because she is whooped from all the exercise. Maybe next time both of them can go. I have a tumbler running with some of the broken quartz and am eager to see how they are doing. I have high expectations, but will have to wait and see.

I will be watching for the update on those quartz pieces! I have a decent sized broken nodule of Teepee Canyon Agate that has a nice "pocket" in the middle...every time I see it on the bench, it reminds me that I need to take some pictures and tag you when I post them...I think you'd definitely appreciate it. - I want to slice a very small amount off one of the sides. It's jagged and I just want to flatten it out, so I can face polish that side and leave the other side "natural". Daisy definitely deserves a good day or two filled with naps...she's a great dog!
