That was awesome! I liked the Geritol advertisement. Did you purposely post this in honor of fernwood's and jamesp's commentary on "antiquing" themselves? LOL

They used to grow a lot around here, too. Now you have to go to NC. Not much farm land left here. Always made me sick, too.

Various alcoholic drinks in Peru are loaded with 'herbs', one with coco leaves/bark ?(variation of cocoroco ?) called 7 Root. No telling what the other roots were. It was a local jungle brew. Like no other alcoholic drink on earth. So, me and friends travelled to an eco-tourism lodge for 2 weeks and one night a shaman put on a show. We each had about 6 ounces of this 7 Root whiskey, then the shaman blew smoke on each of us from his pipe and performed a sort of dance about us. At the point we were inebriated/intoxicated/doped ? the group dances began. The Peruvian gals danced with each of us and had an unusual ritual of pinching the men's privates lol. Unforgettable experience.
'spit beer', best fermentation (so the locals said) was chewed by the elderly with teeth missing 1
See videos on Iquitos(Peru) street markets, no regulations on any items.

Probably not RickB, warts from N. American toads is supposed to be a fable. However the frogs in South America are highly poisonous and may cause skin issues. Of course N American toads are poisonous too in that dogs learn not to catch them in their mouth and begin salivating heavily.

Deer are faster than dogs She must have had a fawn near by amygdule. A distant neighbor owned about 4 dogs that chased deer incessantly for several years. It is a problem in some rural areas.
