Interesting- with my limited imagination I just saw the front-on view of the head with the two ears sticking up... I saw what you saw.

Do you see what I see? Severed cat head on a lily pad. Baby panther.

Well it looks like I'm the 2nd entry this month and I also did tiger eye. Not the same as perkins17 though, as mine is blue/variegated and I also made a cat claw from it 👍 Here's the slab: The preform: Side view: The cab with a quarter for size reference: And finally the money shot - Tommy please use this one for the voting... I loaded a short video also on Flickr, will need to get to the PC to post that. Let's get some more catty cabs done folks! Almost forgot the cat pic... And finally here's the video: VID_20211216_144643692

NDK - Way to go Nate! That is an absolute stunner! Definitely not one I need to "claw" my eyes out after seeing!

perkins17 that is in fact a freeform. I had a basic idea what shape I wanted and rolled with it. I believe freeforms are easier than calibrated cabs, sometimes you just let the rock tell you what shape it wants to be. No worries about being precise measurements.

It's an impressive freeform. I need to draw out some freeforms to cut. That does sound a little easier than the calibrated ones.

If you had a bigger cat, you could have used its claw as a template...

I took artistic freedom to what I assumed it looked like. We all know cats claws aren't to be messed with 🤣

It never turns out well for anyone involved. Zoey is named after a vampire and she isn't nice sometimes. I've never trimmed her claws not do I think I'd ever attempt to

MsAliWe have two male cats. Although they are neutered, they are both a little territorial. They engage in daily play fighting, which is 90% play and 10% trying to show each other who's boss. Our larger cat likes to grab the little guy's head with his front paws and bunny kick him in the face with his back paws. Not quite as brutal as it sounds, but not very nice, either. In this context, my wife tries to clip the sharp tips off their nails. This is the big brother bully. Zoey looks so sweet! Then again, aren't vampires known for being charming? I love solid black cats. And solid white cats. And tuxedo cats...

This is a piece of Tigertail that I got in a box Mr. Larson sent me. If you look closely there is a lion in it I've had Zoey for 13 years. I brought her and Karma (she passed away early this year) back with me from California. She looks black until she is in the light, then you can see what I call rust coloring underneath. Got my entry done

What a beautiful cat! And, I can clearly see the cat in your cab- which is a rarity for me.
