Before I put everything away, I was mixing my own colors and learning what would work with what. Hoping some of it stuck and I won't have to start from scratch.

Music is my all-time favorite whether it is listening or playing. I primarily play guitar, though my fingers do not move like they used to and it keeps heading in that direction. Nowadays this hobby takes up a large chunk of time and money but when I can pursue other interests: -I have always enjoyed cooking and got into smoking (as in the cooking method) five years ago. -Hiking, particularly at the National Parks. Would like to visit many more when we retire. -Reading, fiction/non-fiction. From Westerns to the Classics. -Up until two years ago I coached Coed/Boys Baseball and Girls Softball for many years, I really miss this one but my youngest moved onto other interests. I could see doing this in the future when my kids are all gone. In particular I had the opportunity to work with a bunch of autistic children over the years and found breaking through those barriers to be some of the most rewarding experiences of my life. -Just starting to get back into photography a bit. -Used to do a lot of woodworking but it lost its appeal after I turned it into a business. I find a lot of things interesting and probably have a bit of ADD as I like to do a lot of things simultaneously. I have a tendency to add interests/hobbies without letting go of others resulting in the constant lack of time and money .

Thank you! Yeah, glass blowing and lamp working are different animals. Lampworkers usually just say the generic "glass blowing" because ppl know what that is.
Ya'll's glass vessels are amazing!! I love the next to the last one. Too bad about the broken one, it's beautiful, too. What a talent. I know it is difficult work. Thank you, Tela! That next to last one sits in a glass cabinet behind my desk now. I'm quite proud of that one.

Mr. Nate gave me the most amazing gift! That's awesome, Ali! And exactly how we got started in glassblowing. My wife got me a similar gift (mine was a session to make a vase) and I was hooked. She had so much fun watching that she wanted to do it, too, sho we signed up for classes right away. Paperweights are a whole lot of fun to make!

I've only been in the rock hobby about 13 years. Woodworking has been a hobby of mine for over 30 years. Here's a few recent woodworking projects. The three different desks were built due to my son having to remote learn for school and my wife and I having to work from home during the last year. The garage is for woodworking. This is just one wall of cabinets I built out there. All three walls have custom cabinets. A couple outside projects from last summer My son's bowling still takes up more of my time then all of my hobbies combined. He has bowled competitively year round for the last 5 years. We just built these ball racks for some of his retired balls two weeks ago. Need to stain and seal them in the spring. Chuck

Drummond Island Rocks Thanks for sharing your latest! Your penchant for perfection really shines through. Woodworking is soooo exacting. I tried it. I didn't have the budget for good tools. DOH! The display area for your son is super nice... and really full.
