waterboysh Nice batch. I like the side-by-side before and after photos. Thanks! I like the side-by-side too because I usually don't really get a chance to do it since the rocks going into and coming out of coarse are so intermittent. With these though, as I lost mass in coarse I just added rocks from the garden to keep the barrel full because I wanted to make sure they all moved on together.

Those side-by-sides are great! I like the third in that section, the dark on with the lighter layer in it.

Great pics and tumbles. I, too, like the side by sides. It really shows the changes they go through on the way to a good finished polish.

Wow some of those rough looked like they wouldn’t even take a polish. If I’d seen those green ones in the field I would have stepped right over them. Same with the one that looks like a tangerine. Good job!

Very nice stones! Ditto on the side-by-sides. Nice job on your first polish in the LOT-O, too.

Thumbs up for the side-by-sides presentation. That will be a great inspiration for new members just starting to tumble.

Good job! I really didn't think the green ones would turn out good at all but they ended up being my favorites I think. When rough, they were very chalky and I thought they'd just crumble. They were definitely soft though; they lost the most mass of all the rocks I think. I've got one more piece of that green rock, and it's significantly larger. I'm thinking about tumbling it too. It'd probably lose enough mass in coarse that it'd be only slightly larger than normal by the time it goes into medium. Also, some rocks got pulled out after a couple of weeks in coarse because it became obvious they were not going to polish. For example, in the first group picture, the big black one in the top left corner in the first column, second row just was full of little pits and holes.

What is that 3rd side by side. Not sure to be honest. I'm really not that great at identifying.
