Rockoonz - You definitely outdid yourself on this one...well, technically you didn't actually outdo yourself because you did it! And boy did you do it! Beautiful piece of art right there!!

My entry is self collected silver from Gowganda, Ontario (Canada). I love that you self collected that - quite stunning. I hope you saved the rest of the slab with the copper inclusions for another one.

greig, Rockoonz, those are both amazing cabs. Instaria is awesome. Yours looks like a framed picture rockoonz. Greig, yours looks awesome. Your silver work is amazing. I would like to work something like that eventually.

The brassy colour in these rocks is nickel (ie. nickeline). Often, these rocks also contain cobalt and arsenides which are a dull gray.

That is very nice greig love how the silver and nickeline formed into dendrite like plumes. Looks like a tree to me.

Dang! Rockoonz that is amazing! Well done! I guess you would call that a mic drop- but then along comes greig .... That plume/dendrite is spectacular. Simply beautiful and your pics were fine, too. I know how hard it is to photograph.

greig - That is a beautiful cab my friend! As others have stated it's icing on the cake that it was self-collected.

Had to pry myself away from the current obsession and break things up a bit, so thought I'd take a stab at a square! The slab was slim so had to keep the dome pretty low. IMG_4643 by Kevin, on Flickr IMG_4645 by Kevin, on Flickr IMG_4636 by Kevin, on Flickr
