I started these in my 6 lb barrel 4.5 months ago. A good number of these would probably still be running in coarse if I had not bought a Dremel to grind down the hematite on the top/bottom of many of the pieces. I had to split the rounded stones into 2 batches in the Lot-o. Half of them finished about 2 weeks ago and the other half finished this last weekend. The 2nd batch of Tiger's Eye was also the first to go through all stages after adjusting the dowel on the Lot-o. I also started using a new slurry technique as detailed here. Basically I don't want to use Borax because I don't have many options for dumping my used water and don't want to kill any plants. So instead of Borax, I use 5 pumps of liquid hand soap and 1/4 tsp of psyllium husk powder. It actually works really well and forms a slightly doughy gel as a slurry. I'm very happy with the results.
