April 3rd Craft Show, did real well for only one day(had a previous engagement and could not do Sunday, they let me do 1/2 price entry), just beat my previous high for a Sat Craft Show sales to date. April 9th & 10th, Sat was very slow, more people than the show on the 3rd, less buyers. Sun the 10th was 3 less hours than the day before, however sales were almost 40% higher which goes against conventional wisdom for Sunday sales.
Sales for both shows were pretty evenly split between items; Tumbles, Quartz, Pendants, Tumbled Hearts, and Spheres leading the way. There were high dollar Quartz sold, none above $15. Had several above $70 out and lots of ohhh's and ahhh's but no takers. That reflects the main difference between a Gem and Mineral Show and a Craft Show. No one is dropping $200 on rocks!!
That shuts my season down until Oct. Will do 2 or 3 Craft Shows this Fall. The only wild card in the mix will be the big Houston Gem and Mineral Show in Nov. Been trying to get into it for 4 years now, wait list is long but have moved up in the queue. Time will tell. The off season corresponds with a required medical leave. More on that later.

Henry, glad you did well at the shows. That better Sunday at your second show sure does go against conventional wisdom and is really interesting.
