Some might remember the experiment I started in 2020. I had received the Lavic for the WW tumbling contest. Life and work got in the way, so I just let them run. 6-4-2020 I started them in two 3 lb barrels with 3 TBS of 60/80 SIC. A week later added another 2 TBS of the 60/80. They have been running untouched since then. Lavik Filler Did a clean out on 4-11-22 and the results were interesting. 22 months of running untouched. There was a nice slurry, which I saved for future use as a starter. Just letting it dry out for now. I picked out about 75% of the better quality Lavic. Did not shape them at all before putting in tumbler. Added a mix of driveway rocks. Granite, Quartz, Basalt, fossils, Agates and unknown softer rocks. The idea was to have the softer rocks break down and add to the grit. The Lavik upon clean out. Some of them disappeared. Started with 28 pieces. Ended up with 18 pieces. Some deep cracks and pits ended up not smoothing out. Lots of nice colors and patterns in those that survived. Some nicer ones shown wet. The filler. Found it interesting that the Granite looks very nicec. Nicer than when I am usually tumbling just Granite. I will wait until it warms up here. Then will be bringing my flat lap and Lot O inside for the Summer. Use them to shape and finish the tumble.

I might try to find your driveway next time I go rock hunting. LOL. My driveway is filled with local rocks. If you ever come to Central Wisconsin and want to search for some good stuff on my land let me know.
