Can't help with the ID's or geological "happenings"...but the "painted" look in that second piece is REALLY cool!!

Finally cut into more of these pieces and was shocked to find some bizarre orbicular-looking activity going on in there. This is from the agate that's the fifth picture I posted at the start of this thread.

Finally cut into more of these pieces and was shocked to find some bizarre orbicular-looking activity going on in there. This is from the agate that's the fifth picture I posted at the start of this thread. I’m no expert, but those dots look like oolites. I find a lot of oolitic chert here in Missouri. Very cool rocks!

Nice finds! I'm from Spokane, but have spent a little time rockhounding our west and think that you guys have just about the best rockhounding in the world. Those are some awesome finds. It's really fun to cut rocks like that.
