I am trying to be extra professional for an upcoming small business craft show.
Was told that there will be a paparazzi jewelry dealer there. Someone else I have traded rocks with, who now makes somewhat crude wire wraps and metaphysical things. Several others who make jewelry using supplies from Michaels.
In the past, I just used business cards to label everything with the stones and other items used. Price was on the back of each business card. This time, I have hanging cards, not using business cards for newly made items.
I cannot run each card through my printer to label them with materials and price.
Is it tacky to write info on the back of the cards? Should price be written on a dot sticker on the front?
Most earrings and bracelets will be on a fairly large, commercial, rotating display.
Necklaces will be on upright, folding, jewelry display boards.
Cabs and wire wraps will be in a display case, on the table. I plan on putting a card under each, writing what it is and the price.
Rock slabs and rough will have a dot sticker with price.
Small, tumbled rocks/fossils will be in containers with price in display stand.
Some, nicer items will be individually displayed on table, dropped over a larger fossil, rock, crystal.
I purchased a couple of 4’ folding, adjustable height tables. Plan on setting them to the highest height.
Space will be at a premium, as only 6’ x 6’ is allowed.
I plan on getting there early, as there are no assigned spaces for those who do not require electricity. I would prefer an end space. This would allow for two tables with frontage.
I am having a hard time visualizing how I can have some tables, a chair or stool to sit on at times and space for potential customers to see everything.
Last time I was at this show, there were no space requirements. First come, first served. Other than those who set up against the auxiliary bar. That was where I was. Was limited to 10’ wide by 8’ deep. I could set up items on the bar.
Some who sold items had 15’ by 10’ spaces. Others had 8’ by 6’ spaces.
The show is in one week.
I have been letting regular bar customers know that I will be there. Have some new items available.
Posting daily on my FB business page. The show is being hosted by my employer, a small brewery and tap house.
I would appreciate any pointers from people here.
Photo shows a few earrings on cards. I just added the wording for posting. It is not on the cards.
The cards do have hook style hang tags on them to allow for easy removal from the display stand.
Thank you.
