Don't adjust your screens - designed to blind. I did turn them a little bit so there was some detail to see. Hand picked favorites of the last few batches. These are your regular sized tumbles here, some slices. In no particular order we got Mexican Lace, Mozambique, Mexican Flower Jasper, Botswanas; and then local finds like pet wood, carnelian, jasper, other agates, and misc. Some 30 years ago I worked at a company supporting a lot of computers. One of the engineers brought in a "glamour shot" of his wife in for his desk. Within 6 months almost everyone had purchased a package to have their spouse all dolled up and photographed.
So these are Lapidary glamour shots.

26 was included in the bag of Botswana agates. But it's like radically different. Looks more like a green moss or green tree agate to me.

I’ve got some bots that have the green mossy areas. It seems like the green parts undercut pretty bad. Ah, so it wasn't just a one-off. It's neat, but I had bought the bots specifically for slicing, so this was an oddball I couldn't see slicing. Out of curiosity, what area of Washington are you from? Down in SW WA, Vancouver in particular. I grew up in Battle Ground, moved to FL in my 20s, CO after that, then back to WA a year and a half ago. Re: Behind the scenes... These are clamp lights from Home Depot. They're flimsy, but do well enough for the price. I had to sort through their box to find ones that weren't already dented. I got them to light up the garage a bit more. The bulbs are LED: 5000 Kelvin color temp, 1575 lumens, 13 Watt. More white than yellow, without dipping into blue too much. (fun fact, with the astigmatism I can look out the corner of my glasses and see the colors split, so there is definitely some blue in these.)I think when I got all this stuff it was around $35, but that's kind of a fuzzy memory. Tripod was amazon for $45, and it came with a cell phone clamp. Cell phone is a Pixel 4 zoomed in 2x. I need a dedicated spot to take pictures, or at least, a more comfortable spot. Down on my knees, buffing the finger prints off the rocks, one at a time... It's a little rough after a while. Thanks all for the feedback! I think I'm stepping in the right direction.

Nice! I was kind of curious if you were in Spokane. You reminded me of one of the club's members. That's a neat setup, and it clearly works. I'm thrifty, so maybe I'll have to try that at some point.

BenathemaI’ve sliced some with the green mossy areas. Those spots are definitely a lot softer. They will leave pits and rough areas until all of the green is gone or encapsulated by solid agate. I’ve passed very few if any onto stage two. The green is attractive but soft. I haven’t seen a lot of them, just enough to know what you are talking about. Next time I run across one during a clean out, I’ll try to remember to shoot you a photo.
