I love the way the contour of the cab echoes the shape of the "sun" rising out of the horizon.
Nicely done & a nice shape & polish,

Patty Thank you. If the shape looks familiar I traced some of the shapes off of the template you posted earlier in this thread. I didn't have a working printer so I held a piece of paper to the monitor and traced it.  Then I transferred to some old credit cards and cut out the shapes. So yes, I committed the criminal act of copywrite infringement to enter this contest! |

This month has been a busy one! I submitted an entry to the rock tumbling contest, a faceting contest, and now this cab contest! This is an agate I collected with my dad in the Rio Grande national forest. I just freeformed it as inspired by its natural shape. I have many pounds of material from there that I have been working on processing in different ways. I haven't done a freeform of this agate yet so I'm grateful for this contest for inspiring me. By the way I'm looking to trade away some of this material if anyone is interested. Thanks for looking!     |

Good possibility it’d have iris in it if slabbed thin enough. |

I'm so glad you entered the contest with that cab jasoninsd, that agate is spectacular with so much depth & your polish is something for me to strive for.
That will make a beautiful wrapped pendant - I look forward to seeing it in the future.

Great bunch of entries. I'm not going to do the challenge this month, I've had a bad sinus infection since the middle of this month and am on antibiotics that are kicking my butt so I'm too tired to even think straight. Good luck to all.

) I think it's actually some of the coolest material I've seen in a long time! I would have been remiss if I didn't include some macro shots as there is SO much going on in this rock! I neglected taking a picture of the slab itself, but I did include a picture of the first cut James did on the rock (I stole his picture! LOL)
