Nice liveoak! And in your leftovers you still got a Big Dipper! Amazing and I just threw that in the scrap bin, I hadn't seen that.

A bunch of nice entries so far,
but there's still a couple of more days in the month,
must be someone else up to the challenge

I’m thinking about putting my tweeker blade to the side and re-entering a new cab due to new material I found.

I decided last minute that my tweeker tactical self defense cabochon wasnt that great and wanted to do something better. So here is my last minute entry. BATCAVE MOSS AGATE. This is some material I found yesterday. Its a moss agate that has batcave jasper inclusion. So I decided to make a massive cab out of it. Measures 1 7/8 inch width by 2 1/2 in tall from point to point.

I've seriously started typing the first line and changed 3 times. I'm just at a loss for words. Incredible cab!

I've seriously started typing the first line and changed 3 times. I'm just at a loss for words. Incredible cab! Thank you. Greatly appreciated. Cool lil story with this. I was out at a spot away from the batcaves. I was finding some moss agate scattered about and had noticed it had some batcave material on it. Well.... went back out today, followed my leads and actually uncovered a new vug of batcave. This stuff however has moss agate running through it.

WOW, realrockhound, your first cab had me on the cool factor, but this second one has me on the WOW. That batcave looks like it's on fire.
So, 3 days left, you sure you aren't coming up with something better yet -
you seem to have these great things pulled out of your hat ?
Nice entry Patty

Thank you. I think thats about as good as i'm going to get at this point haha. I was blown away with the material when I cut it. It's like the batcave jasper seeped down into the moss and filled voids. Heres a pic of the initial vug I started to open. That whole face is batcave. Then behind it is the moss. In the second pic you can see some waterline/batcave included in the moss. You can really see the batcave inclusion in this slab. Just to show a better example.

I can't imagine the thrill of finding something like that! What I'm amazed at - if I read realrockhound report- he dug it one day, slabbed & cabbed it the next day & entered it. (in between going and digging some more, of course). BUT, maybe it's in his backyard ?
That's determination !

Yeah, prettclose. I had found the chunk the the cab came from the day prior. When I slabbed it, I knew I had something pretty amazing. So I went out the next day to follow my lead and when I was scraping the surface where I found the chunk, the ground started to fall in. Opening up a vug between two plates of rock. The one wall being that of batcave with the moss behind it, ultimately finding the source. After getting back home, I went and cut that cab.

You are having too much fun Evan! Good on you for expanding the boundary of the deposit at Bat Cave as well as the composition of that deposit. The cabochon is nothing short of spectacular and you skill is amazing. Keep em coming!
