All very nice unique designs brotherbill, I like them all. You have a real talent .
I like the first one, but the 4th one stands out to me most.
Thanks for sharing,
Patty

Ooooooo! I love these! I especially like the aztec lace, but the OJ (?) is so MOD! I just love it. My daughter would rock those.

I really enjoy your work, Bill. Your second Fordite pair is my favorite, but I always like how you use wire in many of your designs.

Beautiful job on all of those! I can't even pick a favorite. Can I offer just one little bit of constructive criticism? It might be good to sand the edges down smooth around the business end of the ear wires. They look kind of sharp to me on that second Fordite pair. Hurts like all get out if you have to dig around to find the back hole in your ear. Sometimes blood is involved.

I'm a little anal about ear wires,
I always hammer flat the front part of the curve.
This work hardens it & helps it keep it's shape better long term.
Then I use a cup bur on the business end with my flexshaft. I measured mine & it's 1.75 mm, that I use for 20 gauge wire .
Then I use a micro sanding film to the end, just to be certain it's smooth & rounded. Finally I buff the ear wire on a cotton muslin buff to be sure to bring back out the shine .
I've always gone the extra mile with them, as since I work in copper, people look for a reason sometimes why they won't wear copper ear wires. I've found that no matter what an ear wire is made of, if it's finished right , it's never an issue.

hummingbirdstones I use a cup burr to round the ends but upon closer inspection they were not satisfactory. I will pay closer attention to this in the future. Thanks for the heads up! @ liveoak I tumble the wires (0.8mm) in steel shot for an hour. I find no need to flatten afterwards as they are sufficiently work hardened afterwards

rockjunquie The material was marketed as OJ but I am inclined to believe it is River Jasper. Your opinion? @msali Sorry no website. I only sell locally, 3-4 shows a year. PM me if you ever see something you like or if you have an idea for something of your own design.

brotherbill I had some OJ like it and I have seen more, but, quite honestly, it could go either way. I think I'll lean on OJ, though.
