Amazing Dino Bone example! I just picked up a nice chunk of Dino Bone at an auction last weekend. I slabbed it up earlier this week, but haven't taken pictures of the slabs yet. I looked at mine through a loupe and could see it is somewhat porous, so I'm thinking it's going to have to be stabilized before I try to work any of the pieces. Yours looks amazingly solid! Can't wait to see what you slabbed up Jason!

Big potatoes. Whose bone? Thanks. Aye Miss Pat.. they do resemble spuds! Whose bone? Dunno. For now that's a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma.

beefjello - I once tried searching for photos of vintage agate jewelry by Tiffany using every variation I could think of. Came up empty. I wonder if any of your connections down there might have info on old Tiffany items.
TBH Vince I don't know much about it other than this bit that came up on pinterest (prolly jacked from somewhere else) Bloody Basin Arizona has a long history of producing gem quality plume agate and the material was once used by Tiffany and Company due to it's vibrant and colorful plumes.

beefjello - D'ya think that's got some of what Tiffany was there for? I've sure never seen a piece THAT red... . Hi ya Vince! It’s quite possible Tiffany was there for the red. Pretty sure Tommy James was there for the red AND green. Over and over..
