Hello Tom,
I know what you mean ... I hear that if you take Viagra it'll help you keep up.
I never knew that it had academic advantages as well ... go figure!
Enjoy,
John

I love it. I 'll share a secret. Most of the time I go through the url on the e-mail. If I just have to respond I go for it. As far as keeping it up. Hah, I love it. Here it comes. Willingness to accept is the key. Not pure acceptance, willingness to accept. Pure acceptance is pure Calvanism, not my bag. Willingness to accept and some life experiences. Never extend in trust what you cannot afford to lose. Two ways to learn, one is from the pocket, one is from the book. That being said, for whatever reason makes sense, there is no aphrodisiac like acceptance. I am lucky, my wife and I see into each other's soul and feel no shame. With the forum I respond to a variety of threads that suit my fancy. I also find, if I am doing all the talking, I do not listen well. However, teaching is a sure fire way to see through the limits of what is taught. When I respond, sometimes I like to make myself smile, especially with the responses, if, it does not interfere with someone's earnest desire. If there is a small batch of folks who got it going on, I back off. I have learned, tomorrow will be here whether I propound or not. If I do not have the experience sought after, I take away from someone who might, especially a newbie who might be shy. Out of the mouth of Babes.... Connrock, I enjoy reading your posts. Soon you will be a God and I can retire. I will decree from an anonymous position, I can be the most modest God there is. I can be so modest and humble I will have to tell people how modest and humble I am or they would never figuire it out on their own. I can be a world famous humble, modest tumbler, creating tumbled miracles from a 33A using roadside rock and sand for media. My world famous humble, modest, reclusive tumbled miracles will modestly rock the world in its orbit for a moment. People will look but they will not see. I am a world famous humble, modest reclusive creating miracles and I am so humble I have to remind myself I AM GOD! I love myself. I'm just too good to be true, can't take my eyes off of me, I want to hold me so tight..... Look at what lack of sleep does reading all these posts. I had fun.

Maybe the answer is Summer Vacations !!! Well, at least that's my case ;D. I don't think I'm going to have the time and energy to keep the same pace after this week. Next week I go back to work and school, but I will try to take time to stop by and engage in some postings as much as I can. ;D

My secret is that I never try to keep up...I just let it wash over me like some great tidal wave of tumbling knowledge. Every now and then a piece of information smacks me in the eye and sticks. I have a rock epiphany. Most often I just ramble on no matter how annoying it may seem to you folks. I just assume if I'm too annoying you all will skip the posts under this nick and move along to someone who actually has a grip on reality. That being said, I'm in the process of inflicting photos on you guys. So please be gentle...or ignore me...or whatever.

Well I'm glad I asked.
I thought you were all some kind of super hounds.
I also have a problem following the threads.
There's tumbling posts EVERYWHERE!!In the photo section,,the general section,,the welcome section,,,,,etc,
When I answer a posting I have a heck of a time finding it again!!
Man,,,,,,,,,Am I gettin old or what?? LOL

Keep up? Can anyone really keep up? I check in at least two or three times a day, there is no keeping up. ;D I always try to remember to hit the "mark forums read" link on the bottom of the main page. It kind of helps to keep some sort of order to the newer posts then. [glow=red,2,300]~ Cher ~[/glow]

There's a 'mark forums read' thingy? I didn't know that!
Llana is always asking me if I read something on here that I haven't seen and therefore have NO clue what she is talking about.
Trouble keeping up? Who..........me?? Yeah, I think I miss more than I see!
Really glad to hear that I'm not the only one!

Keep up? Well then you should all find this posting funny cause I found it on page 4! I usually keep up pretty well until life gets ahold of me. That's what has happened over the last 2 weeks. Been too dang busy to read the posts and when I do I find I'm over 3 pages behind. And that's just on the general board nevermind how far behind I am on the other boards. (Haven't had the nerve to look yet!) Oh well, I'm always playing catch up. I'll get them all read eventually.

When I first found the forum, I was a lady of leisure and didn't have a problem keeping up. Now that I am working almost every day, it's getting harder and harder to keep up. I usually skim the posts in the AM before I leave and in the afternoon when I get home, but don't seem to have the time to read and respond.
And I need to get myself to bed right now instead of being on the forum! LOL! I'm afraid tomorrow might be a long, hard day - last Tuesday was 10 1/2 hrs and it took me til Friday to get over being tired! Don't know if I can do that again. I am used to being finished with work about 3 PM and home by 3:30 or 4. That 9AM to 7:30 PM about killed me!! Didn't even feel like messing with my rocks, so you know I was tired!

Besides this board, I follow 3 others regularly (i.e., daily) and about 4 more almost that much. I almost never post elsewhere than here. I couldn't begin to cover every single post on this or any other board. I just pick the threads that sound like I want to read them and skip others. I do look at most of the photos, but often don't comment -- I just run out of time and by the time I get there, 25 or so others have already said, "how beautiful," and I would be saying the same. Anyhow, this has been far and away the most positive, helpful, and generally fun message board experience I've ever had, and for that, I thank all of you beautiful people with beautiful rocks.
