I started a clean out this morning. It struck me what a nice load it is. I’m working three 12 pound barrels like this. Only two run at a time but there are always two running. The only time the 12 pounders stop rolling is the time it takes to remove and replace a barrel or to do tumbler base maintenance. The 12 pounders only run coarse. This is a pretty mature load. I only remember putting a couple handfuls of new rocks in last clean out. There are a lot of rocks nearly ready for stage two. As good as the load looks, only 2-3% will move on, if that. photographed wet. They’re pretty large photos. But you can zoom on them. The same rock pile stirred once. My granddaughter. thanks for looking

Wow. The shine on the rocks looks really good. And the shine on the Morgan isn't bad either.

Nice cameo of the grandbaby! Brent, your pictures are REALLY looking good my friend! As always, you've got some great looking pieces in there!! Isn’t she a doll? She’s probably the happiest baby ever. She’s all smiles and giggles right now. The iPhone helped my photography. There’s nearly enough in my “to fine” bucket for another batch to go the last three weeks. I think there will be enough after this clean out. Awww... what a cutie. Just look at those rosy cheeks.

I think she might be working on some freckles. She’s such a good baby and her big brother treats her like a princess. I’m pretty picky about when to move rocks on from coarse. Anything with the slightest chance of grit transfer goes back to coarse. Wow. The shine on the rocks looks really good. And the shine on the Morgan isn't bad either. Thanks Chris. They’re just wet at this point. Hopefully there will be a batch of 220 starting later today. LOL. The Morgan comes out when they are actually tumbling. Morgan dollars are my favorite US coinage. I have a book that explains what was going on in the US each year they were minted. The gov’t was minting Morgans and hoarding them to stabilize the price of silver.

I see lots and lots of gorgeous color and patterning in that bunch! Very cool! Sweet sweet baby! Those cheeks are just asking to be squeezed! Some days I miss my kiddos being this young - a much easier time (in comparison to teen/young adult years!!).

Nice job on the rocks. Tumbling is definitely one of my favorite branches of this hobby. Also great job spelling "coarse" right. So many people spell it "course" and it kills me.

Thanks Dillon. It was a little disappointing how few passed on to “ready for stage II”. I’m close to having enough for a polish pass.

That’s for sure. I know I have rocks in coarse that have been there at least a year. They’re nice rocks or they would have been discarded by now.
