I have sooo been waiting for this video of Jugglerguy Rob's (YT Michigan Rocks) featuring another RTHling, jasoninsd Jason. As some of you know, Rob took a trip to go hounding for Fairburn Agates with Jason in South Dakota. It was really great to see the two traversing the huge rock pile in search of the elusive Fairburn. Rob found plenty of his beloved stripies (see the video). They also found and described a "signer" and they both found a Fairburn! I was a little disappointed when they saw the badger den holes without any reference to Jason's earlier adventure with a badger. But, I got over it. Jason was quieter than I might have expected... But, the two made a good team and seemed to enjoy themselves. No more waiting... here it is! Finding The Elusive Fairburn Agate in South Dakota!

Thank you for posting. Those Fairburns are amazing.
I think it is ironic that Rob went to SD and found a piece of Banded Chert. I liked seeing what some of the finds looked like cut, too.
An excellent video, one again.

I just want everyone to know that I wasn't stealing Jason's thunder. He asked me to post it for him. He was spending some of his last time with his furbaby.

Thanks for sharing!!! It's on my viewing list for this evening! I love it when internet friends get the chance to meet - I've been blessed in my rescue work (I used to do rescue transports for dogs/cats being pulled from southern kill shelters and moved to the north to waiting rescues) where I've gotten to meet some of the beautiful people who shared the passion - they live states away, but we were able to meet because of the common interest. It's a true blessing.

Jason was a great guide and a really fun guy to hang out with. That was recorded about an hour after we first met. We hit it off right away, but by the third day we were like old friends. Brenda didn't go out hunting with us, but she cooked three really delicious meals for me and we all had fun hanging out each evening. When I sent him a message this winter asking for South Dakota rockhounding advice, I never thought I'd get such an awesome response.

I just want everyone to know that I wasn't stealing Jason's thunder. He asked me to post it for him. He was spending some of his last time with his furbaby. Very true my friend. I'm just not up to posting my "usual" posts...so for everyone who's reading this, I promise to make comments and respond in another day or two.

It took me at least a month to even really start posting again and they weren't "good" posts by any stretch of the imagination. When you're ready, then you're ready. (((HUGS))))

Awesome video! Great to Jason! Always enjoy Rob’s videos! This outing was SO much fun! I have to say it was an absolute pleasure to get to spend three days with Rob!! Great video, Rob! Excellent explanation of what a signer is too, Jason. I do owe Rob a HUGE apology though on that signer! I had said I would get a close-up shot through my loupe of that signer spot...but I forgot...and think I chopped up all the rocks we found that day (NOT THE FAIRBURN!) and I have NO clue what happened to them! Oops! LOL Thanks for sharing!!! I have been lucky enough to meet quite a few members from the forum...and I just got a text this morning from someone who was out here last year and he's wanting to come back! So...I must not have scared him off the first time! LOL Jason was a great guide and a really fun guy to hang out with. You know, you could always hitch a ride with Jonathan if/when he comes back out...we have a couch AND a bed! LOL Looks like an amazing hounding trip! Dillon, this was SO much fun! *Hey, did you ever get any of the Prairie Agates from here?? Very true my friend. I'm just not up to posting my "usual" posts...so for everyone who's reading this, I promise to make comments and respond in another day or two. Jason, you just take your time. It took me at least a month to even really start posting again and they weren't "good" posts by any stretch of the imagination. When you're ready, then you're ready. (((HUGS)))) I've been "lucky" the last two days at work...I've been SO busy, I haven't had time to think of personal things during the day. It's definitely difficult in the mornings before I go to work...and when I get home. You know you've got me cell number if you ever need me! Very true my friend. I'm just not up to posting my "usual" posts...so for everyone who's reading this, I promise to make comments and respond in another day or two. I’m so sorry. Losing a furbaby is hard. Hugs. Thank you. It's only been a couple days...but it sure feels like it's been a LOT longer! Great video! I wanted to climb thru the screen and dig into that rock pile! I actually went back to that same spot a couple weeks ago...hoping to find the other half of the Fairburn I found. I did find some "nice" rocks...but not Fairburns! Take care jasoninsd . I have this bookmarked as entertainment for this weekend! Thanks Jugglerguy ! It'll be the best 20 minutes you spend this weekend!

jasoninsd Yes! velodromed sent me some! I'll work them into a rotation once I free up some tumbler space. They are some real nice banded pieces.
