I made a rookie move by taking on the task of tumbling amethyst.... I learned you have to be very patient and be accepting that the rocks can chip off. I used lots of cushion to soften the banging. These were done in my Lortone. I started on August 9th, 2023 and finished on September 23rd, 2023. These are just a few of them. I did not want to flood the post with photos.

Those turned out great! Quartz of any kind is tough to tumble. Yours look fantastic.

Nice chevron amethyst. I love the purple crystals. I'd say yours are excellent. Thanks for sharing.

What a fantastic job on those. They have some great color to them and the shapes. I’m always amazed at the shapes that come out of some tumblers. I use a rebel 17 and I have noticed that others that tumble using the same type of barrel get those types of shapes versus the round inner barrel. What type of machine are you using? Once again those are some great looking rocks thanks for sharing.

Wow...finished batch in the tumbler...a new CabKing...if I didn't know any better, I'd say you were pretty hooked. Oh wait...I do know better...and I can clearly see you're hooked! LOL Nice job on those!!

Those look amazing!! I struggled with my amethyst - they turned out nice enough...shiny...but I did run into cracks, etc. Well done!
