Greetings to you all!
I've been rockhounding and panning the northern part of the Shenandoah Valley/River for many years now. I recently saw a photo of tumbled Unakite and, having collected quite a bit over the years, made my way to your forums to learn about expanding my hobby to include rock tumbling! I own a Lortone 33B and a 3A, and am currently in stage 1 of my first batch.
Thank you all in advance for everything I have and will learn here and I hope to share some photos (and tribulations...) soon!

Welcome from Virginia (the beach side- no rocks... well really little ones that some people call sand). I've seen unakite camping but never picked any up.

I made the mistake of thinking I can rockhound VA Beach once... came back with a half of a shell and a chunk of a bridge! Next time you see some Unakite, grab it! It's a gorgeous rock for sure!

Are you 757? I've been here since 1976 and have found one rock in some landfill- not local. I still have it. It's more of a worry stone.

I found some Unakite years ago in the NC mountains. It’s beautiful stuff. Good luck with yours! Welcome from Tennessee!

Welcome! I'm in the Shenandoah Valley as well. Down in the aptly named "Rock"ingham. Glad to see a fellow Virginian here!
