It come from the state of Bahia in Brazil. There is a similar stone from the same area, I think is called Bahia Blue that has a lot more white areas in the blue. I have a scrap piece of it somewhere I salvaged from a construction site years ago. It was a development of higher end homes and there was a big pile of counter top scap pieces.
