My very crude hardness test says maybe 7-8. My hopefully not too crude brain, says pretty & pretty hard & takes a nice polish.
Anyone have a name for it ??
Thanks,
Patty

Thanks, Chris. I think it's a great color to go with a copper setting, so I was pretty excited. Patty

It looks like Alibates, a silicified dolomite, from Texas. I have knapped many points from it and tumbled some too. It takes a great polish. It's getting tougher to come by as the bulk of the outcrop is in the Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument.
