15000 posts. Rock Tumblers of the World - Unite and Take Over!!!! (The Smiths - actually its "Shop Lifters of the World - Unite and Take Over") But I'll go for tumbling over shop lifting anyday. If anyones interested - The Smiths are a UK 80's band - and are/were BIG - with Morrissey doing the vocals. The theme tune for the US series "Charmed" about 3 sister witches is taken from "The Smiths" record called "How Soon is Now ?" The Smiths came from where I come from, or is it the other way around? I wish there were some way I could get more links to this site - but because of the way Google is these days its so hard to get links its not true. Every site owner on the net is just hating to give away a link because (mainly) of Googles EXTREMELY NASTY algos. Even when you give someone a link these days they try and fiddle you with a duff link back, or one which they remove after they see their link is up on your site. Believe it or not MSN HATES my site??? Why?? Unknown. They have dropped me/us from their listings. But then again thats Microsoft for you As you can see Im swamped as usual in Search Engine issues, so I won't bore you any more with it - I'll just get back to doing it... Cheers all and Best Regards. Andy. P.S. - That pet post - I must get some good pictures of my Commander Data and Captain Picard for you.

Hey Andy, Morrissey was in Atlanta recently. My husband loves The Smiths. We heard "Girlfriend In A Coma" on the way to North Carolina this last week. My husband also wanted me to mention that he is an even bigger fan of Bauhaus. Figured you'd be familiar Cookie

Hey Andy, I have made karaoke versions of "How Soon Is Now" by "The Smiths" and also by "Love Spit Love", the punk group that did the version for the movie "The Craft" which spawned the tv show "Charmed" which uses the "Love Spit Love" version for a theme song as well. I love to sing both versions.

Hiya Andy....I'm pretty new to your site and simply love the forums. Many thanks for hosting them! I already have a link on a few pages I've done. They're pointing specifically to the forums. Would you prefer the link to the homepage only? Eventually, I'll have more on the site I'm doing....but will be sure and continue to spread the word about the site to all my rock obsessed friends. ;-) onyxhollow.com/images/rocks/first-dig.shtmlI think I need to make a banner to link to your site....that might be even better!

Great to hear people have heard of the smiths, yes Ive heard of the Bauhaus - but not much of their music i'm afraid. Maybe "the cure" will ring a few bells? They was from the same'ish era too. I went off into Iron Maiden about that time. The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner. A bit of something different I know! Links. RTH needs some links for certain. I have a dmoz listing which is just about all thats propping our little island up, granted - its number 1 on Yahoo and Google at the moment - but without extra inbounds it will be ousted by the competition. Cher and Emerald. Thanks for the offer - I would like to take you up on it. I must stress its not that I need your actual visitors, its just for search engine ranking purposes. A text link to the main site is whats required - as it is that which brings us new visitors. The forum itself only ranks on MSN and quite low down. www.rocktumblinghobby.com is the place which needs the links to prop it up. I have placed a page on the main site with a snippet of html - if you can paste that any where you can I'd be most appreciative. The page is here. www.rocktumblinghobby.com/Rock_Tumbler_Links/rock_tumbler_links.htmlI am CERTAIN there are more rocktumbling people out there than 327....... Thanks very much. Andy.

I know exactly what you mean Andy. I have a small web design business so know what it's like to look for links. It can be quite challenging to maintain a place in the search engines, unless you buy one that is. [glow=red,2,300] ~ Cher ~[/glow] pages.prodigy.net/bestsmileys1/signs/RockOn.gif [/img]

politics and religion are better left to personal conversation and not general subjects of debate in a friendly forum such as this, my opinion. it is difficult in an election year not to want to engage....but i will refrain if you do..........

Agreed. I was just trying to answer the question as to why MSN completely removed this site from their search engine. When I searched google with " rock tumbling tips" and "rock tumbling hobby," this site was second on the list! Why would MSN be so unfair???

Bush Rocks. I wish we had a hard line president - instead we have Batman running around on the Palace, and we have a buch of gimps running round being chased by men in tights round the houses of parliament. Then today we get some new gimp reporter in there with fake bomb making equipment. Bush would have had his men shoot the lot of these imposters. NO MESSING. Just how it should be. Oops - Polictics. All is cool over here folks. Andy

well, Andy, your politics are pretty confusing to me...but i try to follow best i can. we get the Weekly Telegraph for expats, interesting to read....i never understood cricket either, you British are a confusing lot, so there you go. i don't understand (American) football (not soccer, that is easy), so all is a hopeless muddle for me....
i saw the Sun "bomber" on CNN today, and Batman was all over the news the other day too. you guys have Eco-terrorists on both sides of the fence, pro-fox and anti-fox. we don't bother chasing varmints for sport here i don't think. we shoot'em and eat'em. (haha).
but, Andy, we have YOU to thank personally for allowing us all to have this site, thank you again, post your pet pics soon!!!
