just took this slab (1/2" thick ) out of my new pellets and new polish ( TO) think it is slick enough since you can see the camera in it ---and no it's not a double exposure --just reflection can you make out the chevy truck cab and bed?--plus all the neighbor's trees and this is the same rock (backwards) without the reflections

Hi snowdog - Dave, are you saying this shine is due to the new pellets and TO. Both, or one or the other? Did you use another polish before? Are these pellets a different size? Hey, how come so thick? Aren't you the master of thin slabs for lamps? Later FYI - Those two slabs of polished Brazilian you sent me are going to be on the club-sales table at the local club's Junior Rock & Mineral Education day. Members donate stuff that can be given "kid friendly" prices. I gave a bunch of minerals (calcite, pyrite, quartz, your two slices, and a fiew small picture jasper slabetts.) The event is co-sponsored with the local Kid's Museum. ( www.ems.psu.edu/nms/) Should be fun. Thanks again.

here's another I was going to post but photobucket was doing some maintenance---back up now Dan--needed some reason to justify the new barrel, pellets, and polish --hehe--only reason it's so thick is that it is the last slab I have when cutting-- if I changed my ways then I could cut it thin too
