a good while back i commented i couldn't make that wire twisting thing work that i got with my wire wrapping kit and someone said it was easy so i tried some more with no luck - just messed up some more wire. well tonight i accidentally found this on the wig-jig sight and died out laughing. they are using 2 wires! nobody ever said use 2 wires - i was just using one and expecting a miracle. this clears it all up for me. www.wigjig.com/jewelry-tools/WJU/techniques/twistwire/index.htmli just needed pictures ;D. kim

Hi Rocky, I think it depends on the diamater and type of wire. I bought a cheap little wire kit and the wire is all very soft. I get the idea, and have a tool to twist it, but that's not what I was looking for. I'm going to delve into that site (put it in favs) and find out more about it. Thanks for the site and good luck! Show us your stuff, girlfriend ;D

Don't go duh over something everybody has to learn. I did it, most others have done it, especially when forging on one's own. Wait untill you get to calculating combined thicknesses for precision fitting, or compensating for thickness by over twisting. Wait untill you do forwards, and backwards twists on the same lay. One day, it will all be second nature.
