I'd like to order this unit early next week. So far, it seems like kingsleynorth is about the only place that seems the most reliable for the price.
Here's what the unit comes with:
Complete Unit - 1/3 HP motor w/cord, pulley, plastic hood, 6" x 1" #100 grit silicon carbide grinding wheel, exact-span drum, polishing head, 3 - 6" x 2 1/2" sanding belts (220, 400, 600 grits), slabbing vise 6" x .025 x 1/2" MK Criterion diamond blade, set of templates, dop-sticks, dop wax, aluminum scribe, lapidary disc cement, 1 oz. cerium oxide polish. $523.00
Is there another place I should look for this unit? Also, is this a good choice for a beginners unit? Also, is that a pretty good diamond blade?
I've checked several other places and most sell the stripped down version...I'm not really thrilled with the thought of ordering the motor, vice, blade, belts & accessories separately. I found a place locally, but their stripped down price was outrageous! ($475...and that's not including sales tax!)
I also checked Alpha-Supply $555.00 Not sure if one location is better than the other. Alpha's description is vague on what blade & belts you'll get with it.
Suggestions? Comments?

I have one of those units. I find it to be extremely reliable, easy to use, and easy to change wheels on. I did replace the fine grit wheel with an expanding rubber drum. I have belt grits up to 1200 and it works great. I highly reccomend this unit.
