Here's twelve things to do with your tumble polished stones. Other suggestions would be appreciated!
1) Give them away, or sell them for a buck or less. The former very satisfying, the latter gets affordable rocks into the hands of kids. 2) Rock Critters - googly eyes, feet, & yarn hair. 3) Plant Watchers - glue a rock critter to a popsicle stick, and stick it in a plant pot. 4) Retro Jewellery - stick the best stones on bell caps, or wire wrap, to make pendants, bracelets, necklaces, hair clips, bolo ties, key chains, nipple rings, etc. 5) Vases or candle holders - epoxy stones onto the outside. Use clear stones for the latter so light shines through. 6) Make up a gem kit or display for educational purposes or sale, eg. local gems, USA gems, the colors of quartz, etc. 7) Use them to show the final product in a tumbling display at a show or meeting, kids love this and it is very easy to put together. 8) Gem Trees - something shiny for a base rock, gold wire for the trunk and limbs, tiny stones as leaves. 9) Inlay work or rock chip 'paintings'. 10) Display your very best, most colorful stones in a wine glass: very cool. 11) Rock Concerts - a group of rock critters sitting on a piece of wood or stone. Good for a laff. 12) Submit a one pound parcel of your finest tumble polished gems to the International Judging Committee to see if you're eligible to compete in the next Tumbling Olympics.
