Which is best??? Lortones: . 1. Lortones are easier to remove lid. 2. Lortones have a belt cover. 3. Lortones are quieter... Thumblers: 1. Usually cheaper per volume of barrell. 2. Easier to repair--change shafts or belt. 3. Model B seems to procees 1st step grinding more efficiently than the 12lb Lortone.
THE WINNER IS--> "ROLL AND TUMBLE" Roll and Tumble(although more pricey)-is a cleaner, better engineered machine(Dupont nylon bearings) & 60hz motor..

Hello Birdseed ;D I just look at the roll and tumble tumblers, but they are way too expensive for my purse, and that green alien color . www.cyberrockhound.com/tumblers.htmAnyway nice to learn about other type of tumblers.
