Organics ie: Oat and corn meal are NOT to be used in a wet tumble. Just as dryer lint is NOT for a wet tumble. These are to be used in a dry polish tumble. Sugar and corn syrup will disolve in water. Just my two cents.

I bet you still have the marks on the wall and ceiling also, just to keep you reminded. I was surfing the web, looking at tumble sites, and I stumbled upon one that proclaimed most loudly of the success of corn meal and aluminum oxide with the standard mix for final polish. For four days all went well, on the fifth day the sound of the polish sounded like I was using coarse and it was full of mud. Never made it to the sixth. The lid had a nice leak that was a fine spray with a stream of liquid. My wife and I came home from the shop, and the cats were speaking with more earnest than usual. We got in the house and the stink was horrendous! Our cats went into the tumble room, spoke with earnest and came out and turned their backs on us. I had just sheetrocked the room and taped it. I can see a dry tumble, but absolutely no organics while wet!!!!!! Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I must add, it was NOT this site that had the advice on using organics. I do wonder what that person's living quarters are really like.
