I saw an aluminum pencil for marking slabs for cutting, but was wonder if there was something else I can use that might be around the house? Fine-point sharpe? Something else? Metal chalk? (I've seen Rob use that for marking metal.....not sure if I can get that to a fine enough point)
I actually drew up about 9 designs that I'd like to cut. I have the templates cut out of wood ...but need something to draw out the patterns that will stand up to the oil and water.

I use a #2 carpenters pencil. I do not cut fine cuts with that marking however. The water seems to wash away the graphite as I cut. I have heard of people who use lipstick for marking. They do have to compensate for the thickness however and when tracing templates compensate for the edge. A Marksalot works well for a lot of cutting. It doesn't wash off so easily.

Maybe a waterproof eye liner pecil? It's waxy and will stick, but you can make a fine line... cookie

Thank you both!. Will give the sharpee a try....it's a fairly fine point. Just should have ordered the aluminum pencil when I had a chance....silly me.
