The Southwest Gem and Mineral Society is holding it's first annual swap meet on October 30th we are expecting rock hounds from all around the surrounding area. It should be a good time. Hear's the details. If you are in the area we would be glad to see you. Hope to see you there. No alcohol or music is kind of a bummer but we'll still have fun. Bob

wish i coud go too! glad to see the book is making the rounds!
how did San Antonio recover from all the flooding? i was there a few years ago and was amazed and fell in love with the River Walk, did all the tourist stuff, went on the boat ride, etc, etc. so i was very sorry to see it had sustained damage.
take pictures to post you guys! KD

Just a reminder. The rock swap is this weekend. I heard the other night that we have people as far away as Salt Lake City, Utah who are planning to be there. Llana, BE, and Pho, are you still planning on being there?

I am planning on being there. Hopefully it won't be raining as the forecast is predicting. Will be difficult for me to talk myself into going if it is raining. I'm a weenie!!!! Will just have to concentate on all the cool stuff that will be there - and find my umbrella!
BE's son broke his arm so I don't think he will have a sports event that will prevent her from going, but haven't talked to her about it lately. We talked last night, but I forgot to bring it up. Guess she will see this thread and chime in.

The rain, if any, shouldn't be a big concern. We will be under a big covered pavilian warm and dry.
