I was finally able to cut up a few Brenda pieces today on the ol' Workforce.. I thought I'd share some pix with y'all ;D A couple nights ago I had the great fortune of meeting Jamie and her husband Rodney. I asked if I could get a few larger pieces slabbed and they said no problem, come on out! I got to experience their legendary generosity first hand as they let me take my pick of what I wanted from the 'Wall', let me cut on their saw for hours, helped me to polish up a cut boulder I had and even treated me to a bowl of the best darned tortilla soup I ever tasted Thanks guys!!! Here's a few things I cut over there. Brazilian and Armenian nodules This stuff is hard! Periwinkle agate We cut up a crazy Brenda rock I found And a green zebra agate I bought and a river tumbled jasp rock I found. This stuff was even harder than the Brazil! I was so excited when I saw inside this one! Well I used up my camera batts before I got to snap off the treasures Jamie gave me, so I'll have to save that for another post. Thanks all for checking out my pix

Those are some very nice slabs, that periwinkle agate just jumps out and grabs ya though. Really really nice

What a fine variety of cuts! I like them all but I have to say that plain ole Brazilian (wow) is a real eye popper! Boy you got little plumes up the wazoo in that Brenda stuff though.....mel

sweeet beefjello. Looks like you have plenty of material to keep you busy for a while. Jamie and Rodney are some of the friendliest folks around. It's really cool that they cut some of your bigger stuff and even polished it up for you...and now I'm feeling really bad that I passed up the Tortilla Soup! It must be legendary. Steve

Wow that is some stunning material. I can't wait to see what you do with it. Guess I need to get the recipe for tortilla soup.

You actually found something harder than Brazilian agate? I just about wore out my saw to get one slab from that stuff! Those are some nice pieces.

OK I'm jealous!! Tortilla soup is my favorite!! They really know how to do it right in AZ and NM with the green chille peppers and all... Too much Cilantro in Tex tortilla soup... heheh...
Man sounds like you had a blast!! Jamie's generousity seems to be boundless.. what a great rocker!
