In one of James' posts about a month and a half ago he said he wouldn't have any finished rocks for another 1.5-2 months. So I'm figuring that anytime now he is going to blast us with some more of his amazing work. Hope so anyway.

Yeah, I've been wondering where Donwrob is too. Thanks for the post. I've missed this place and I've missed you guys! The main thing is, I'm working 6 days a week plus long hours. I only have sundays off. If I'm lucky (and feeling up to it) I get to change the grit in my tumblers on my day off. I'm still taking a class to become an Electrician, which consumes even more of my time. As a matter of fact, I've let most of my tumblers go for 3 weeks without a grit recharge... Can you believe that!? I did manage to to finish a load of Ametyst/clear quartz/rose quartz. Perhaps I'll take some pics tomorrow. To make my situation even more confusing, my love of rocks has evolved into flintknapping. Now, instead of buying tons of rocks and tumblers, I'm buying tons of flint and knapping tools, videos, books etc... I'll never stop tumbling though. I've just been busy.

Glad you are alive and kickin', James! I know what you mean about sometimes letting your tumblers go for a couple of week because you are just too tired to check them! Been there, done that! Good to hear from you. Can't wait to see some of your flintknapping stuff! I am sure it will be as beautiful as the tumbled rocks you post for us!
Now, if we could just hear from donwrob and MichiganRocks! Wonder if they have been scarce because they are working on a batch of rocks that will knock our socks off! I miss both their posts and pics!

HI ALL!!! ;D I'm still kickin', just haven't been on-line much. I do stop by every once in a while to see what you all are up to, but just haven't posted lately. There has been some really beautiful stuff posted! I don't know what it is, but I took a little break from the rocks. Work has been bad, and a lot of time spent stressing and working O.T. I think every now and then I need a break so I don't get burned out. I usually chip arrowheads 2 or 3 times a week and haven't done much knapping lately either. Anyway, thanks for thinking of me! I'll throw a post up now and again to keep in touch better. You all are a great bunch of rock lovers ;D. Talk to you later, Don

Phew!
I thought my number one inspiration had left us. Great to see your still here James. Been tumbling for over 90 days without a finished batch, I should have one done this week. My hematite never took a "wet shine", I don't think I had enough material to do a load correctly, so I have more rough on the way. My Quartz mix is in the burnish stage, it had a pretty good shine, Thursday is the day!
