Have only skimmed through it but what I have seen so far is so incredibly beautiful it just takes my breath away! The pics look more like paintings than pictures! Talk about eye candy! YUMMY! I know that when I got to the swap meet Saturday I will be looking for some of the rocks pictured in the book. And I don't think I will be ready to pass the book on to Bob! I think I might want to feast over it for a while and lust after all those fabulous rocks!
This book is truly awesome!

Cher, check this out: www.billatkinson.com/SpecialOffers.htmli bought it and am passing it around to the forum members that are interested....so far it has gone to Stoner, Redwoodrocks, Cookie and now llanago....she is going to share with BE and Bwalters (at some point) and then send it off to the next person that indicated interest...i think Bear (if he ever has time now to look at it) when it gets back to me eventually i am going to ship it to Deepsouth and he will return it to me, again, at some point. It is hard to believe they are pictures of rocks! And the pics in the book are 1000's of times better than those on the web. They look like painting on canvas. KD, when I finished drooling over it, it goes to BE, then to Bob Schultz. I had planned on taking it to the swap meet Saturday but I don't think I am going to. I know all those rockhounds would love it, but I am afraid something might happen to it. And, I will need both hands free to look at and touch all the rocks there! Besides, I don't think I will be finished looking at it by Saturday. Cher, I'm not sure where it goes after Bob Schultz, but I am sure you can get your name on the list for it! I am going to copy what the author of the book has done. I am in the process of remodeling the interior of my RV and am going to start taking pics of my rocks to frame. Going to break out my 35mm camera, zoom lens and all that equipment and see if I can take some really good pics. llana

WOW! The book is finally in the area. It's almost like "Elvis has entered the room". I'm looking forward to seeing it. Hang on to it as long as you like Llana and BE. I'll be pataint. No I wouldn't bring it to the swap eighter Llana we'll have plenty to look at that day. Leave it home where it will be safe. After BE, I'm next!! I'm next!!!

[glow=red,2,300]Amazing!![/glow] What more can be said.
Wish I could take photos that looked that good. They look like they should be hanging on the wall of a gallery.
Even better, I would like them hanging on my walls.
May I please add my name to the list of people to borrow the book?

It's been a while since I looked at the website, but I think you can buy copies of the photos to hang as artwork. I've been thinking of doing this myself as I am stunned. ..by the exquisite photos that is. Though I do offer apologies for any other stunnedness that may arise. ;D

I just went back and looked at the website again. Amazing. Another good side trip from that site, if your into photography in general, is Charlie Cramers site. He does some beautiful work also.

I am taking a photography course - or was until I got into rocks, then kinda forgot about the photography! Have two more years to finish it though, so it's not big deal I haven't done much with it lately. I am going to brush off the camera, tripod, zoom lense, filters and such and try my hand at taking pics of rocks. Don't have any expection of being as good as this guy, but can maybe take a few that I can frame and put on the wall without being embarrassed! Might try to shoot some with the digital and see how they come out. Hope I can do better than some of the ones I have taken and posted on the forum. llana

I do need to offer apologies. I had the book a long time. At first I couldn't remember who got it next. Then one day (about 3 weeks ago, I'm ashamed to say) I took several packages to be mailed and thought I had mailed the book as well. I pulled out a dining room chair one day that is seldom used and there it was. OOPS! Glad it's back in cirrculation and it should move along faster now. KD, I know you were probably getting worried. So sorry, my bad cookie
