I picked this baby up in the Brazilian nodule bin at the rock shop a couple weeks ago. While I was quite certain it wasn't Brazilian, I really didn't know what it was. After taking a couple bites out of it this morning I believe it's Montana Agate. What do you think?

I'd say so too, I have to get cutting and see what's inside all of these;

That kind of white, orange, black Montana is my favorite. Neat rock.

Beautiful rock. If you said you've bitten the rock, does it tastes as good as it looks?
Rallyrocks, what's that beautiful little blue rock in the right side of the pic, a little hidden by the big grey geode? I don't think it's labradorite. Is it some blue agate?

I've got some Montana that looks just like that, Brian. But a Brazilian looking like that wouldn't surprise me, either.

That blue piece hiding behind the big gray agate is an amazing specimen from a new claim in Montana where they are finding blue agate that I think will give Holly or Ellensburg blue a competitor, at first I wasn't all that thrilled as it had a white rind on most of it, but now that I've sliced it up it really is remarkable, and that piece I picked up for $15 I now think was a really good deal.
A few of the river agates turned out to be a lot bluer than I've seen from this supplier before too, but unfortunately as is so often the case with river gravel agates, a lot of them broke up and cracked at the saw.
