I picked up a slab saw at the San Antonio rock swap. Need help .Looks to take an 8 inch blade has an 1 3/4" pulley on arbor. What rpm would arbor need to run at. Also it has cable that had a weight for gravity feed, what determines size of weight. This is custom made all 3/16 iron plate and well made. All help appreciated. Larry

The blade is made to turn at 1750rpm. The 1 3/4" would be the slave, a 1" or 1 1/4" would be the master pulley. Good luck with your saw. It sounds strong. The weight on the vise is what you need to not hog the stone, nor let it drag on the blade. Good luck
