Just received a parcel of Owyhee Picture Jasper rough and thought I'd show it off. My pics didn't turn out the best (a bit of glare), but it's really neat looking stuff. I can't wait to work it! Thanks for lookin'

Oh YUM!! That Owyhee Picture Jasper looks like some delicious marshmallow and caramel goodies I used to get on the Boardwalk in NJ. Definitely good enough to eat.

Looks nice. I have been cutting now and then on 12lbs or small chunks I got about six months back. Not every one of them as nice as your, but each one a pleasure to cut open. The stuff also takes a killer shine. Enjoy.

Beautiful lot! I agree with Daniel. Owyhee takes one of the best polishes of all the picture jasper types. Works up like glass!.....mel

Wow - those are nice! I bought a box of Owyhee PJ off ebay several months ago that doesn't look anywhere near as nice as this - but I still love the stuff. I haven't had much luck getting it to take much of a shine though - though I guess I should qualify that with, I've only really finished one batch all the way through and it had a variety of pieces (and hardnesses I'd assume after seeing the finished lot) in it... The PJ I have only took a satin finish - but maybe I need to do a batch of this stuff alone. Can't wait to see what you do with these drool-worthy pieces!

That's some of the best stuff out there - I love it and wish I had more. Slabs great, make fantastic cabs with a killer shin and the saw scrap tumbles well also. Truly love the reds and whites / reds and blues. I try and cut some every time I take the WF out for a spin - its always a high light.
