I haven't seen any posts about fire agate. I've read that the 'fire' occurs in very thin layers.
Can it be tumbled, or will you likely lose all the 'fire'?

fire agate is usually done with wheels but I have tumbled some and it does shine up nice. I don't have any grinding wheels yet so I tumbled it

I do not reccomend tumbling Fire Agate. In theory it should tumble but I have not heard of positive results from doing it. The main nodules get washed out.
