All,
Ive had a few mails with images in them, and also there are some great pics on the board - for those who have posted, is it ok for me to stick them on the rocktumblinghobby site in the usual way.
Its always better to ask.
Cheers Andy.

Hi, Hope it's ok for the new kid on the block to reply to this. I'd LOVE to see some pix of the tumbled emerald, ruby and sapphire that's been mentioned. Thanks!

I believe you have some of my pictures. You have my permission to publish. Great site Andy. This forumk sure helps after dealing with tourists all day. How could they have lived such a long and prosperous life with so little idea of human interactions, decency, and common courtesy? I get many laughs, knowlege, and a great deal of serenity with this site. How come I gotta sign in on the site every time now? I used to be always logged in, and now I come up guest.

Andy, as doc said, great site. It is a place to escape the rigors of everyday life and talk rocks with others that have the same sickness ;D. As far as any pics I post, you of course have standing permission to do with them as you please. I consider it an honor that you would want to use them on the site, thankyou, Don

Thanks guys - I will gather them up and post them today sometime on the main site. Glad its all going well on here - new people sign up daily so there are a few lurkers out there now. Regarding signing in - I have to sign in also - I just took that as standard to be honest. Its beyond my control though - the technical stuff is probably to do with cookies - you could try maybe dropping your security level on IE? I will poke around and see what settings are available. Now wheres those pics..................

I have had a look at the settings which are available for me to change - but none relate to loggin parameters. I am sure somewhere there is a setting which says
"Amount of time to stay logged in" x minutes.
But I cant find it anywhere.....
Does everyone have to keep logging in? As I say - I thought it was normal.
Andy.

Dear Andy, Please add my thanks to the other notes for creating this board. I had tried tumbling before but was doing it completely wrong and this is such a great supportive resource. I can't promise to send pics as my first batch is in the tumbler and, well, I'm just hoping they turn out well. As it is, just from smashing up the first batch I know I know I'm going to enjoy myself no matter what.

Greetings All, Hey Andy, I'm also sending you some pictures of the rough I'm buying from Gerdus in South Africa. I see that you are busy with work , if anyone wants to volunteer to post them directly to the message board email me at william.colley@stjude.org and I'll send you a file. Or if anyone can tell me how to post a picture directly into a message on the board I'll do it myself, but somehow I think I need to have my computer configured as a web server to do this. William C
