hi George here been reading post on here for about a month. Have posted a few posts and kind of skipped the intro. So here is the bio some what in reverse lol.I have been into rocks for 24 plus years mostly just collecting. Well as you know it can get the better of you if you stick with it. All my friends think I'm crazy as i have amassed well over a ton may be 2 who knows lol. Rocks are every where at this point. I live in Cincinnati and just got started collecting our local fossils. This could be a bad thing as i live at the bottom of the I-71 cut in the hill(an 80 foot or so cut down to the road that is loaded with fossil slabs ) i have about 1000 lbs of these slabs in the yard now. lucky for me my wife likes to line the yard with them and has a nice rock garden started lol .She is in her 2nd year of work on this and yes i will post some pics i know how you all like pics lol.My wife wire wraps and beads so we are kind of a team in this .So she doesn't mind all the rocks to much.Last year i bought my first piece of lapidary equipment at the quartzite show. I got a new pixie cab machine and a 12 inch slab saw used. Then i stopped in on the Tucson show and bought a new inland 6 inch trim saw. Now i just need to learn how to use them.Have been slabbing and cabbing for the past year teaching myself. Not very good to say the least. Joining the local club so that should help lol. Just bought 4 CE tumblers thats what brought my to this web site. Well these infernal things have been a real pain. Wish i would have found this place first but oh well i have to live with them now.Been on my first batch(copco agate) now for almost 6 weeks just to the second stage lol. these were vary pitted and I'm just not happy with how they look. Have ran 3 batches in the first tumble to make it to the 2nd still not happy with them may run the course one more time. They come out tonight we will see. Ido not know how to post pics may need help with this as i am not very good with computers or cameras lol. Though i do have a new digital. Well i think i will end this here as it is rather long but i do like to talk about rocks. see you all in the posts and hope i can get some good info from you all as you have already helped lots lol. George
